Sarah Ruhl’s adaptation of Virginia Woolf’s Orlando, a biographical fantasy, dives deep into the gender and time-bending story of a young nobleman in Queen Elizabeth’s court who transforms into a woman and journeys through the 20th century. The uniquely whimsical narrative, with an ever-looming chorus, brings forth questions of identity, love, and the passage of time.
