Nathan Roberts

Nathan has a diverse background in theatrical design and production. As a freelance composer and sound designer, he has had the pleasure of working with many of the nation’s great theaters, including Manhattan Theatre Club, the Guthrie Theater, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Berkeley Rep, Dallas Theater Center, Fords Theatre, the Shakespeare Theatre, Yale Repertory Theatre, Long Wharf Theatre, Hartford Stage Company, and many others. Prior to moving to Connecticut, he worked in the artistic department of the Arden Theatre Company in Philadelphia, and as a literary associate for Syracuse Stage. He received his BA from Albright College and his MFA from the Yale School of Drama. In addition to his design and composition work, Nathan also designs and builds musical instruments, with a special emphasis on flutes and hurdy-gurdies.
