02: The Arkansaw Bear

By Aurand Harris

Directed by Deb Margolin and Nathan Roberts

Developed as part of THST/EDST 361, Production Seminar: Theater in Education

A little girl is faced with fear and sorrow as her beloved Grandpa dies. In Aurand Harris’s The Arkansaw Bear, the girl is helped by a mime, a talking star, and the World’s Greatest Dancing Bear to solve the ‘riddle of life’ – though we must die, we live on in those with whom we’ve shared our most beautiful dances. Recommended for students in grades 3 and 4.

Performances (presented at 220 York St., New Haven):

Saturday, December 7th at 1pm and 4pm
